Improvement of work efficiency with non-corrosive materials and polyethylene through-holes "EP sleeve," promoting the longevity plan for public facilities, etc.
Based on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "Basic Plan for the Longevity of Infrastructure (Bridges, Roads, Public Housing, etc.)," we aim to achieve both the longevity of infrastructure and labor-saving at construction sites as a "two birds with one stone."
【Proposed Projects】
- Public facilities (public congestion, infrastructure-related facilities, etc.)
- Seismic isolation structure high-rise buildings
【Effects of Implementation】
- Longevity through non-corrosive sleeves
- Improved work efficiency through labor-saving/lightweight materials
- Total cost reduction (materials + construction costs)
Polyethylene is a stable material that fundamentally does not use plasticizers, and its lifespan is approximately 30 to 50 years if not affected by ultraviolet rays. In contrast, PVC resin containing plasticizers begins to deteriorate in about 10 years, potentially leading to reduced flexibility and cracking. EP sleeves contribute to the longevity of construction and infrastructure.
"'Lightweight' accelerates 'efficiency' on site!" A sleeve material that combines high pressure resistance and direct workability with "lightweight." In particular, compared to rigid PVC pipes weighing about 53 kg/m, EP sleeves weigh about 17 kg/m, ensuring a significant weight difference that guarantees improved work efficiency and labor-saving at construction sites.
